Lonnie William Wack

–

La Verkin, UT

Lonnie William Wack passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2009, in LaVerkin, Utah. He was born January 14, 1971, in Salt Lake City. He graduated from Murray High School. He married Michelle Gamble in November, 2006, later divorced.

Lonnie is truly one in a million; his heart was pure gold and as big as the ocean. He would give anyone the shirt off his back. He will be sorely missed. We will all miss his laugh and practical jokes.

Lonnie loved rodeos, especially bull riding and yes, he was crazy enough to try it. He loved his horses, ice hockey, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and being in the mountains.

Anybody that knows Lonnie, knows he can fix just about anything. If he couldn’t he would take the time to figure it out and do it right and better.

Lonnie is survived by his mom, Pam; dad, Bill (Wendy); brother, Darren and his son, Hunter; sister, Sara (Lori); grandparents Wally and Lucille Wahlen and Harold and Patty Wack; step-sisters Chalise (Chad) and Lindsay; a special aunt and uncle, Dennis and Linda Wahlen; and many other extended family members. He is also survived by his dogs, Bandit and Shadow.

There are many, many life-long friends of Lonnie’s that are considered family. Lonnie was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nelda Wack and aunt, Sharon Davis.

A celebration of Lonnie’s life will be held on Friday, October 9, from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m., at the River Oaks Golf Course in Sandy, Utah (9300 South 700 West). Please join us to honor Lonnie and share stories and memories of a very special man. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Volunteers of America (252 W Brooklyn Ave, SLC, UT 84101) or the First Step House (411 N. Grant, SLC, UT 84116). Don’t ever miss an opportunity to spend time with your loved ones and let them know how much you care about them.

We pray that Lonnie is finally free from his struggle with addiction. The family would like to thank those that helped Lonnie through his journey of life!

Thank you to Gregg Soffe and the staff of Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home for their compassion and taking care of the arrangements.
