“When things are tough, you fight one more round.”\r\nLoren D. Lloyd, 89, passed away in the early morning hours on August 17, 2017. Loren was born August 15, 1928 in Upalco, Utah into a family of fifteen children of which he was the first to graduate from high school and last survivor. He was a fighter in life, a boxer in his youth, and a fighter for life and fought to be with his loved ones to the very end. He was always concerned more with the needs and wishes of others than with his own. He was a loving father, and cared deeply for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grandpa loved the three F’s: Friends, Family, and Fishing. There was nothing he loved more than combining all three. He spent over twenty years enjoying his property in Scofield fishing with his buddies and waiting for the “big one”. \r\nHe is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby. He is survived by his son, Rusty (Lynette); grandchildren: Jaymi (Matt) Pasin, Eric (Amy) Lloyd, and Colby (Zoe) Lloyd; and six great-grandchildren. \r\nThe family wants to thank Conrad (nephew) for his devoted care. We want to extend our gratitude to Heidi and all the “angels” at Evergreen Residential who cared for Loren. Our sincere thanks to Applegate Home Care and Hospice for their caring and professional staff. \r\nA viewing will be held Monday, August 21, 2017 from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary with a viewing for friends and family prior to the service from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 South Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah.
