Marie Bott Grover Lucich Obituary (1915 - 2007)

Loretta Marie Bott Grover Lucich, 91, returned to her Heavenly Father peacefully on July 24, 2007 from natural causes. Born August 6, 1915 to William J. Bott, Sr. and Helen Loretta Cook Bott in Brigham City, UT. She attended Box Elder High, then LDS Business College. She married, had one son, then divorced. She married Jesse W. Grover, had two daughters, and later divorced. She moved to California where she met and married Vincent Lucich. They were very happy, and shared many good times and years together. He died in 1992, and Marie returned to UT to be close to her daughters. Marie was a beautiful lady who always worked hard to help her family. She was office manager for Granger-Hunter Improvement District for many years, was a legal secretary in CA, and served as Secretary for the Legal Secretary’s Assn. of Marin County. She loved to travel, and took many trips to several countries of the world. She was generous to her family and friends with her many talents, including sewing, and needlework. She had a wonderful soprano voice, and performed in many church activities and choirs. In CA, she loved performing for friends and family with piano accompaniment by her son Grant. Marie is preceded in death by her parents, brother, sisters, aunts, uncles, husbands, and son Grant William Grover. She is survived by her daughters Dianne (Lynn) Johnson, Salt Lake, UT, Janett B. (Jerry) York, Orem, UT, stepdaughter Barbara Hugo, Sacramento, CA, 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 26+ great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Monday, July 30, 2007 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 S) with a viewing from 9:30-10:45 prior to the services. Interment Brigham City Cemetery. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to Robin and Darla of Vista Hospice, and especially Canyon Creek Assisted Living Center, and Sunbrook Hospice, for all their loving and caring staff who meant so much to Mom these past few years. You will be forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the LDS Humanitarian Aid fund.
