“Rowena”\n\nLouena Drivinna Tauteoli returned to our eternal home peacefully with our Father-in-Heaven the evening of December 25, 2021 at the age of 65 years.\n\nLouena was born in Ha’ateiho, Tongatapu of the island Kingdom of Tonga on July 23, 1956 to Fine Punouloi (Lisiate Tauatevalu) “Valu” and Sela (Mataele) Tauteoli. \n\nLouena is the second oldest of seven children. She is preceded by her brother Kauvaha l' Moana\nHe Ofa “Enele/Kauvaha” (Ane Finena'akakala Toa)Tauteoli; followed by brother Tonga Liuaki (Sela Afu Vakapuna)Tauteoli, sister Hefisipa Piula Tauteoli (deceased), brother Aivenihou Punouloi “Visi” (Hulita Moala)Tauteoli, sister Puanani (Siope)Angilau and brother Rusty Lehua “Hua” (Eni Meli)Tauteoli (Deceased). \n\nAs the oldest daughter, Louena was beloved by her family throughout her childhood. She completed her secondary education at Liahona High School, then served a religious mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints both while in Tonga. \n\nIn 1978, alongside her mother and siblings emigrated to West Valley City, UT, USA from Tonga to join their father who arrived earlier, with extended family. Louena experienced the many challenges, opportunities and successes that came with her coming of age experiences in her new home as a young adult. \n\nTo name a few; starting a family of her own, going to college, and various professional pursuits from the private to government sectors. However one of her most treasured experiences were her relationships she fostered with family and friends. \n\nLouena was such a strong, smart, and dedicated women. She was known for her relentless work ethic, stoic demeanor, and most importantly her loyalty to family. Louena was charitable and service oriented as she was always looking for ways to support her loved ones. Louena will be forever loved and is truly missed by all those who knew her.\n\nShe is survived by her children: son Ulysses Sione (Kalolaine Ika) Tongaonevai, son Ron Folaumoetao “Folau” (Janelle Davidson, deceased) Tongaonevai Jr., daughter Athena Tongaonevai, daughter Lesina “Sina” Vaka (Sone) Ma’u, and daughter Ameliah “Mia” Kealani Akauola. Also survived by her grandchildren: granddaughter Athena Tolika and grandsons Achilles Talia’uli, Heracles Kai Folaumoetao, Aeneas Tauteoli and Ilaisa Tevita.\n\nPreceded in death by: parents Valu and Sela, sister Hefisipa; brother, Hua, eldest child, Ana Folau, daughter-in-law, Janelle and grandson, Peiholani Steven Naeata Jr.\n\nServices will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 11:00AM at Jenkins & Soffe Mortuary 4760 South State Street Murray, UT. She will be buried alongside her grandmother Ana Folau (Tu’uhetaufa) Tauteoli at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road Taylorsville, UT.
