“Devoted to Family”\nLova Gwen Garringer White passed away January 28, 2007. Gwen was the eldest child born to Claud O. and Addie S. Swensen Garringer. She was born August 20, 1918 in Lapoint, Utah. \nAt the age of 5, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah; later settling in Taylorsville. She attended school in the Granite School District and also attended Utah Technical College in Salt Lake City. She worked for St. Marks Hospital, as well as Walker Bank & Trust, from which she retired.\nShe married her sweetheart, Henry E. White, September 11, 1940; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple May 21, 1956. \nGwen held many positions in the auxiliaries of the LDS Church and enjoyed her church work very much. Her relaxing hobbies were embroidering and reading.\nShe is survived by her sons, Charles E. (Jenienne) and S. Brent (Judith); daughter, Ila Rae Peck; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Linda; granddaughter, Jeanie; 3 sisters; and 1 brother.\nGraveside services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 So., Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends and family may attend a viewing from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street.
