Our beloved matriarch, Lucy Wright Jones Crump Brighton passed away on Sept. 17, 2009 in Sandy, UT at the age of 95.\n\nShe was born April 19, 1914 to Phoebe Lucy Casper and John Elmer Wright. Lucy graduated from Wasatch High School in Heber City, UT. She married Allen L. Jones Nov. 3, 1933. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were the parents of two sons, Edward Allen & Jack Wright Jones. Allen died Feb. 1, 1973.\n\nIn 1981 Lucy married W.S. (Steve) Crump. Steve passed away Sept. 11, 2000. At the age of 90 Lucy married Robert F. Brighton.\n\nLucy lived a full and productive life, active with her family and community. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with a strong testimony. She served diligently in many ward and stake callings. She spent 25 years as office manager for Fernwood Candy & Ice Cream Company.\n\nShe loved to travel around the world, always coming back to her home with a greater love for her home State of Utah. She loved to get dressed up at least once a week and go dancing with her friends. She brought her families together through planning family gatherings for holidays and other special occasions. Visitors were always welcome in her home where she spent many hours with family and friends.\n\nShe is survived by her sweet husband, Bob of Holladay, son Jack W. Jones (Judy) of Holladay, 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren. She had many step children and step grandchildren who she loved very much. Preceded in death by her son Edward A. Jones.\n\nFuneral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 26 at 12:00 noon at the Cottonwood First Ward, 5910 South Highland Drive.\n\nFriends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Interment at the Heber City cemetery.
