Lydia Anna Dillier Bowes, 94, passed away Feb. 26, 2009. Born June 2, 1914 in Salt Lake to Anna Fetzer Dillier and Charles Joseph Dillier.\n\nServed as secretary to Harold B Lee (1934-42) during the formation of the Church welfare program. Worked at Hill Air Force Base 1942-53, where she met and married her husband Francis J. Bowes on Oct. 21, 1949.\n\nShe is preceded in death by her husband, sister, Josephine Andrus and brother, Joseph Dillier. \nShe served a Milwaukee mission from 1979-81 and upon her return served in the Jordan Temple Baptistery for 22 years. Lydia enjoyed being with those she loved and especially, Trina who she considered her grandchild.\n\nA Special thanks to Steve and Glenna and all who cared for her. \nShe is survived by her sister, Alice Dillier Burbidge and many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.\n\nFuneral Services will be held Tuesday Mar. 3rd at the Cottonwood Acres Ward, 981 E Revere Cir (5555 S) at 11:00am, preceded by a viewing at 10:00 am.
