Lynn Earl Thomas

Lynn E. Thomas, 62, died Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from complications of a brain aneurysm in Murray, Utah.

Lynn was born on December 5, 1956, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Norma J. Thomas and J. Ray Thomas. He was a lifelong Utah resident. He worked as a machinist for over 25 years and had a passion for metal work and working with his hands. He went on to work for the Transportation Security Association for 18 years. He was a rabid Utah Jazz fan and was excited to see how the team was going to do this upcoming season. Lynn was extremely passionate about his grandkids, and loved spending time with them whenever he was able to.

He is preceded in death by his father J. Ray Thomas, and his sister Elaine N. Thomas.

Survived by his wife of over 40 years, Katherine Thomas; his son Brandon Thomas and his wife Christine and their children Luke, Liam and Leo; his daughter Shannon Thomas McCormick and her husband Lance, and her children Kendall and Sienna; his mother Norma J. Thomas, his sisters Joyce Goshert and Dianne Caldwell and his brothers Michael Thomas and Scott Thomas.

Services will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.) South Jordan, Utah on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 10:00- 10:45 a.m. Burial to follow at Elysian Burial Gardens where Lynn’s father and sister are buried.
