Mallene Weaver Stolworthy Obituary (1923 - 2015)

Mallene, formally of Blackfoot, ID and Salt Lake City, UT passed away peacefully at the age of 91. She was born to Elmer Weaver and Pearl Snyder, in Bennington, ID. She lived a long and productive life. Married Gordon L. Stolworthy in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Oct. 7, 1942. They raised eight children together; Launa (Carl) Christensen, Larry (Carol) Stolworthy, Linda (Tom) Naccarato, Lewis (Lorrie) Stolworthy, Wendy Prince, Bonnie (Rod) Kennedy, Wade (Christine) Stolworthy, and RosAnn (Gary) Fitzgerald. Preceded in death by her husband, Gordon and two grandchildren. She served a Salt Lake Temple mission and was a member of the D.U.P. She loved quilts, genealogy research, and giving service to those in need. There are fond memories for her 32 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Taylorsville 15th Ward, 1457 W. Atherton Drive. A viewing will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St. and Saturday at the church from 12-12:45 p.m. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
