View Funeral Webcast\r\n\r\nManoa Sione Sofele passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2020 at the age of 47 at Mountain Point Hospital. He was the middle of 5 children born on December 25, 1972 to the late Isileli Sofele and Ofa Huihui Sofele. He spent his childhood in Hawaii, Los Angeles, and later resided in Lehi, Utah. He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Tupou Pekipaki Cherylana Sekona Sofele in 1992. They had been happily married for 28 years. They have raised 4 beautiful children together: Marissa (Steven) Leakehe, Manoa Jr, Sione Kongaika (Sulieti Hifo) Sofele, Marshaleina Kalolaine Sofele, He had 7 grandchildren: Liam Leakehe, Mosese Leakehe, Baby Tupou Leakehe, Manoa Jr. III Sofele, Aleva Sofele, Vikaola Sofele, Sione Kongaika Sofele. Manoa was a devoted father and a man of little words, but his actions speak volumes. He was a hard-worker and very loyal to all his friends. He loved hanging out with his buddies and jamming to his old school slow jams. He was also a big fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Cowboys. He was a family man and loved spending time with them, especially the grandkids. He looked forward to teaching them everything he knew to sports, cooking, cleaning, repairs, etc. but it was cut short. He was an active member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Manoa will be remembered for his kindness, love and example of compassion. We will miss him but are comforted to know he is with God. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, brother Sofele, Toa, Soni, Hiva Leka and several nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah 84095, on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, from 9am-12 pm.\r\n\r\nInterment will be in the Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City UT 84117, from 1pm-2pm.
