Margo K. Maroudas

May Her Memory Be EternalThe foundation of our family concluded her battle on July 17, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.Margo Karen Zarkos Maroudas was born on March 12, 1960 to Frank M. and Gloria Prevas Zarkos. After attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, she graduated with a business degree from Cal State Fullerton, and discovered her love of world travel through her various adventures such as crawling through the Egyptian pyramids and climbing to the top of Chichen Itza. Her favorite destination was any place with a beach, especially Hawai’i. During her time at thome, she worked at the family ski shop where she designed sweaters and jeackets. This resulted in her love for sewing. As a member of the Greek Orthodox Church, she married George D. Maroudas on February 21, 1988. In the following years, she had two beautiful daughters for whom her love and pride swelled to infinite amounts.Survived by her husband George, daughters Krista & Dionna; mother Gloria, brother Kosta (Judy) Zarkos, father & mother-in-law Jim & Mary Maroudas, sister-in-law Rita (Spiro) Demas and many other loving family members. Preceded in death by father, grandparents, Aunt Helen Poloynis & Uncle Pete Prevas.Special thanks to Utah Cancer Specialists and Dr. Graydon Harker.Viewing will be held Wednesday July 20th from 6-7:30 PM with Trisaigion 7:30 PM at the Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church 5335 So. Highland Drive. Funeral Services will be held Friday July 22nd at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Long Beach, CA.
