Marina "Mary" V. Trujillo Obituary (1932 - 2011)

Mom passed away on December 19, 2011 surrounded by her family that loved her very much. She was born in Taos, NM to Arcenio and Manuelita Velarde. Married Ben Trujillo in October 1951; he passed away in 1966. Mom loved Wendover trips, the Utah Jazz, shopping, and was great at putting jigsaw puzzles together! She is survived by her children, Christina (Ed) Irizarry, Ben Chris (Karen) Trujillo, Teresa (Rick) Vigil, Rick (Gail) Trujillo and Julian Medina; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; and 1 sister. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 2 sisters; 1 brother; and 2 great-grandsons. We take comfort in knowing Mom can walk free of pain and eat whatever she wants! Mom’s wishes were to be cremated. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Parish in Midvale, 7832 So. Allen Street (615 West). The family would like to thank Mom’s very special personal angel, her daughter Teresa. We would also like to thank Dr. Lori Witter and the angels of Silverado Hospice.
