Maurice Anton (Tony) aka "Cowboy" Kienlen Obituary (1942 - 2014)

Born March 10, 1942 and died comfortable in his home, as he requested, on August 30, 2014. Cowboy was larger than life to all of us who knew him. He served in the Marines and during those years was a lightweight boxer. Later in life, he rode fence and was literally a Cowboy in several states prior to settling here in Salt Lake City. Cowboy loved the music of Chuck Berry and actually spent some personal time with the musician in his early career. Cowboy was a man of few words and lived a simple life of few needs in these few years. He was grumbly like Eyore to most, but his underside was a soft Pooh Bear full of laughter and stories for those who took the time to listen and know him. He will be greatly missed by all of us that have had the privilege to call him friend.
