Max W. Swenson

“Devoted to Family”

Our loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away December 2, 2007 at his home in Murray.

Born July 8, 1921 to Max Rudolph and Ruth Burton Swenson. Married Marie Kucharska on August 14, 1946 in Salzburg, Austria. Max brought his bride from Poland and they raised a family of seven. She preceded him in death on February 28, 2004.

He was a member of the Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union for over 50 years. He was also a member of the St. Vincent’s de Paul Catholic Church.

Survived by his children, Lindy (Gary) Rea, Steve (Donna) Swenson, Gail (Gary) Millerberg, Scott (Janice) Swenson, Robin (Phillip) Brady, and Lisa (David) Harris; sister, Beatrice Goff; 24 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his son, Randy Max Swenson.

The Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Vincent’s de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane (5195 So.). A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-7 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, with the Rosary following at 7 p.m. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
