Melba Tripp Beckstead passed away January 14, 2011 of a 5 year lingering illness. Born on April 14, 1931 in West Jordan, Utah to Lowell Willard and Edith G. Silcox Tripp. Married Owen Lynn Beckstead on October 9, 1950 in Salt Lake City. \n\nMember of the LDS Church. She loved her flower garden, her children, grandkids, great-grandkids and her two puppies, Penny and Benny. \n\nSurvived by her husband; daughter, Michele Brydson; sons, Jeffery and Patrick Beckstead; 6 grandchildren, Tyler Brydson, Natalie, Dylynn , Tori and Courtney Beckstead, and Heather Seamons; 2 great-grandkids, Kaden and Andre Seamons; brother, Kay Tripp; sisters, Shirley Coshow and Sheila Ernst.\n\nPreceded in death by parents; son, Ricky Lynn Beckstead; brothers, Blain and Sharrel Tripp; sisters, Heloise Spinder and Lucille Minor.\n\nGraveside services on Thursday, January 20, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East.
