Michael Jerome Derby

Michael Jerome Derby died February 26th from a car accident. He was born November 19th 1975 to Ted Derby and Becky Utley in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Mike was bigger than life, with a love for the great outdoors. If you could ski it, throw it or swing it, he loved it.
Working, most recently as a project superintendent for LCG Facades, he was extremely talented with his hands, he was an inventor through life from sculptures to wall mounted fish tanks he was constantly creating beauty and manifesting brilliance.

Mike is survived by his Mom (Marlin) and Dad (Wendy), his two brothers Sam and David ( Lindsay) and his three sisters Trina Ayers (Joe), Anna Rudert (Chris) and Sarah. Step brothers Jeremy Utley (Janine), Justin Utley, Derek Utley (Becky), JC Palmer (Liz), Jeff Palmer (Sheila) and step sister Madison Palmer. With an extensive number of nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren whom he loved and adored.

There will be a time to visit with family and friends on Saturday March 3rd at the Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel located at 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 South) South Jordan Utah 84095 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM followed at 3:PM with a funeral service for Mike.
