In loving memory of our son, brother, & father, Michael Ray Penman, 62, who was allowed to peacefully pass away on May 27, 2022. Mike was fighting with poor health which became too great a battle. He was the oldest of 4 children of Delbert and Bonnie Penman. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.\n\nOne of the kindest people to those who knew him, he was a gentle man who was devoted to his family and had a wonderful sense of humor. He faced many challenges in life, but he quietly made up his mind to handle each one the best he could.\n\nBorn January 18, 1960, his life felt most content when he was gardening. An avid water skier, he loved to be out in nature and savored the outdoors as often as he could. He was very proud to have earned his Eagle Scout rank. He made a career in drywall and was always busy with referrals because of his attention to detail. The last years of his life were spent caring for his parents.\n\nHe is survived by his mother, Bonnie; 3 siblings: Lynn, DeAnna (Jeff) Christensen, Lori (Jens) Christensen; 4 children: Dustin (Maryann) Penman, Josh (Appols) Penman, Teaira (Kolton) Julander, Matt (Rachel) Peck; 13 grandchildren: Lia Jo, Eleanor, Brynn, Holland, Carson, Quintin, Rowan, Bridger (deceased), Everly, Remington, Ryder, Annalyn, Declan, & Walter. He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Ray Penman.\n\nThe funeral service will be held at the LDS Meetinghouse located at 6410 S 725 E, Murray, UT 84107 on June 11, 2022 at 11:00am. A viewing will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00-10:45 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bonnie Penman.\n\nMike, you are now at peace but you will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
