Michelle Henderson Terry – beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to all, peacefully passed away on June 11, 2022 after a valiant and courageous seven-year battle with metastatic breast cancer surrounded by her loving family.\n\nMichelle was born on December 3, 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Sebron Edgar and LaWanna (Mair) Henderson. She was the second of five children, and the most amazing sister.\n\nMichelle was raised in West Jordan where she was heavily involved with swimming. She worked as a lifeguard in her teenage years and also taught swimming lessons.\n\nShe graduated from West Jordan High School in 1990, where she was on the swimming team and had many friends. Those with special needs gravitated towards her because of her pure and loving heart.\n\nAfter high school, she attended SLCC where she earned her AAS degree in nursing. She was a member of the LDS Sorority and made lifelong friends there.\n\nShe served an LDS mission to Pusan, Korea from 1994-1995. She fell in love with the people and culture and taught many about the gospel.\n\nMichelle married the love of her life Keith Brooks Terry on January 16, 1997 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have 3 amazing children – Kamryn (21), Kyle (19), and Brooklyn (16). She was an extraordinary wife and mother. She loved her children dearly and loved to support them in all of their extra-curricular activities. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and extended family.\n\nShe was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served valiantly in any calling that she had.\n\nMichelle worked as a nurse at St. Mark’s Hospital, until her illness would no longer allowed her to.\n\nEven until her last breath, she shared her testimony of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his infinite love for each and every one of us. She wanted all of us to be happy and to always have an “Attitude of Gratitude”.\n\nMichelle is survived by her loving husband of 25 years Keith Brooks Terry, her 3 children Kamryn, Kyle and Brooklyn, mother Lawanna Henderson, brother Curtis (Kim) Henderson, two sisters Kristin (Sesa) Akeripa, Stephanie (Tim) Cottle, brother-in-law Carson Davidson, grandfather Veral Mair, sisters-in law Jana (Dennis) Johns, Tina Barlocker, brothers-in-law Laurence (Susan) Terry, Bill (Denise) Barlocker, and Van (Ashley) Terry, 15 nieces, 21 nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her dearly.\n\nShe was preceded in death by her father, sister (Valerie Davidson), a nephew, 2 grandmothers, and a grandfather.\n\nThe family would first and foremost like to thank Keith, her loving husband, for the amazing care and support he gave to our sister and daughter. The family would also like to thank Dr. Chandramouli, Dr. Call, Utah Cancer Specialists, Lone Peak Hospital, St. Mark’s Hospital, and CNS Home Health and Hospice for all of the loving and tender care that they have given to Michelle.\n\nFuneral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 11:00 am at the LDS chapel located at 9227 South Wild Clover Lane in West Jordan, Utah with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am. There will also be a viewing held on Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at Jenkins Soffe Funeral Home located at 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway in South Jordan, Utah. Interment at South Jordan City Cemetery.
