Miles Dean Smith Obituary (1958 - 2019)

8/19/1958 ~ 7/25/2019 Miles Dean Smith, age 60, passed away at his home in Taylorsville, UT, July 25, 2019. Miles was born in 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Clarence Gabbot Smith and Anna Loraine Miller Smith. Miles graduated from Kearns High School, Class of 1977, and he was also a graduate from ITT Tech. He was a Drafter/Designer. He loved his family and especially his “Little Man”, grandson, Kyler. He enjoyed camping and fishing at Moon Lake with his family Miles is survived by wife, Barbara; daughter, Kimberley Mabe; son, Kristopher Smith; grandson, Kyler Smith; Clarence and Loraine Smith; siblings, Scott Smith (June), Steven Smith (Lethia), Bobbi Smith, Kristen Coon (Aaron), Jon Paul Smith, Patricia Spicer (Robert), and Jamie Smith; brothers-in-law, Scott North (Tamara) and Robert North (Nancy); and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him. He was preceded in death by his son, Kyle Douglas Smith; and one brother, Douglas Smith; his grandparents; in-laws, Monte and Anna North; and brother-in-law, Paul North. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at the Westbrook 5th Ward, located at 4113 West 6200 South, West Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2019, from 6:-00- 8:00 p.m., at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St., and the church on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment: Valley View Cemetery.
