Our beloved father, grandfather, husband and friend, Milton Kirk Jameson, 83, returned to his Heavenly Father on September 1, 2017. He was born on June 19, 1934 to George Milton and Norma Dee Kirkham Jameson. He married the love of his life, Janet Chapple, in the Salt Lake Temple on May 10, 1959. Together they had three wonderful sons. He attended Lincoln High School and graduated from BYU. He taught P.E. for the Granite School District and coached multiple basketball and track teams over his teaching career.
Kirk was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings, including a mission in the North Central States. He served in the Salt Lake Temple for 20 years, the LDS Conference Center and three stake missions. He was an Honorary Member of the Friends of the Mormon Battalion.
He loved sports and never missed a BYU game. He was true-blue. However, nothing brought him more joy than attending his sons’ and grandchildren’s sporting events. Whether it was football, soccer or volleyball, he was always on the sidelines cheering them on. Once retired, he spent his time in the service of others and traveling the world with his sweetheart.
Kirk is preceded in death by his parents and sister. He is survived by his wife, Janet; three sons, Craig (Mindi), Brad (Tania), Trent (Jamileh); brothers, David and Kent; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
