Mitsue Hata MacDonald

Mitsue Hata MacDonald passed away on August 20, 2018. She was born in Japan to Katsujiro Hata and Tochi Ri and was also raised there. She moved to America in 1959, where she met her eternal companion, James R. MacDonald, who was the love of her life. No one was a stranger when she met them. Mitsue devoted the last 17 years serving in the temple. Family traditions were important to her, as was her family. Mitsue was the Best Mom Ever!
She is survived by her husband, George Ruffell; her children, Joe (Carla) MacDonald, Jim (Shelly) MacDonald and Linda MacDonald; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 stepchildren and their children. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Robert MacDonald; and son, Jeff MacDonald.
A viewing will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, Murray. Funeral Services will be Friday, August 24, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Daichi Ward, 2005 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, with a viewing from 10-10:45 a.m at the church. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
