“Wood Butcher”\nMont Charles Daniels, 79, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed peacefully at home in Ephraim, Utah on Friday, October 22, 2010.Mont was born November 27, 1930 in Mt Pleasant, Utah to Charles Henry and Alice Henrietta Anderson Daniels. Married Mary Jean Olsen on March 19, 1951 in Ephraim, Utah.As a youth, Mont spent his years in Mt. Pleasant and Eureka, Utah. He served in the 145th National Guard from 1950 to 1952 during which time he served in Korea.Mont was a General Contractor for over 40 years, specializing in concrete. He had a pleasant personality. He was an excellent wood craftsmen who enjoyed sharing his craftsmanship with others.Mont enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, camping, 4-wheeling, sightseeing, and time at his cabin in Scofield. Spending time with family was his greatest joy.Survived by his wife, Mary Jean of Ephraim; 5 loving daughters, Charlotte (Bob) Westbrook, Sandra Rindlesbach, Diane Smith, Terri Jean Daniels, Lynette (Travis) Handleson; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Gary (Gwen), Dennis (Milly), Mike (Karen) and sister Pat, as well as Mary Jean’s sisters. Preceded in death by parents and sister Betty Broadhead.Special thanks to Intermountain Hospice Care. Interment with military honors will be Friday, October 29, 2010 12:00 Noon at the Veterans Memorial Park at Camp Williams.
