Monte Sharp

MONTE MUIR SHARP

Monte Muir Sharp (58) passed away on November 18, 2024, after a courageous fight from Alzheimer’s/Dementia.

Monte was born in Van Nuys, CA on August 14, 1966 to Larry Wayne Sharp and Patricia Cates Sharp. The family then moved to Anchorage, AK at the age of two where the family was raised. He has three brothers: Chad Sharp (Marla), Gary Sharp (Kelly) and Justin Sharp (Angela). Sisters: Summer Sada and Cynthia Meszaros (Ben).

Monte served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Osorno, Chile in 1985-87. He received a Bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT where he met his wife, Julie Ann Evans. They married in Salt Lake City, UT on June 13, 1993. They established their home in South Jordan, UT.

Monte and Julie have two children: Mary MacKenzie Davidson (28) and Joshua Morgan Sharp (26). Two grandchildren: Amelia Rose Davidson (6) and Ava Grace Lily Davidson (4).

Monte dedicated his life to his family. He enjoyed road trips and being among nature. He loved being involved as a leader in the scouting program. Loved being a part of shaping young men’s lives in his many church callings. Monte was always someone who would help anyone in need and who you could always count on.

A private graveside service with family and close friends will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley in Riverton, UT.
