TO VIEW FUNERAL SERVICES LIVE CLICK LINK BELOW\r\nView Funeral Webcast\r\n\r\nMonty Hyrum Van Dyke was born on November 15, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lily Victoria Anderson and William Warren Van Dyke.\r\n\r\nMonty is a beloved brother, son, cousin, uncle and friend who passed away August 6, 2020. \r\n\r\nMonty is survived by his brother William (Bill), Jr. He is preceded in death by his sister Vicki (Bowden) and his parents. \r\n\r\nMonty grew up in Salt Lake City but loved to spend the summers at his Aunt Enid’s in Paris, Idaho. He loved spending time outdoors hiking and camping with his cousins.\r\n\r\nMonty was a happy, friendly person with a heart of gold who loved to laugh. He loved to meet new people. He would strike up a conversation with a stranger and be friends within five minutes. He loved to laugh and to make people laugh. Monty always had nothing but nice things to say about you.\r\n\r\nMonty had a great desire to help people. Monty helped John to get his latest job.\r\n\r\nHe was the kind of person you just wanted to be around. He was a social bug who liked to keep in contact with everyone. He was the one to call and contact each one of the cousins on a regular basis.\r\n\r\nMonty was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His callings include membership in what was called at the time the high priest group quorum. \r\n\r\nServices will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Murray, Utah, with a viewing one hour prior from 10:00 - 10:45 am. Interment at Elysian Burial Gardens.
