Morris was born October 20, 1931 in Moroni, Utah. He grew up in Fountain Green, Utah until he was drafted into the Korean Conflict. He married Karen Verda Ruesch on October 17, 1955 in Springdale, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Saint George Temple on October 29, 1956.\n\nMorris owned and operated a service station for 44 years. He loved serving his customers and working on cars. He was president of the Utah Petroleum Retailers Organization for five years. He enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles in the desert with his cousin, Dee.\n\nHe loved traveling and visiting different places with his family. His grandchildren were everything to him. He has enjoyed being a volunteer at the Intermountain Medical Center serving in the LDS Murray 4th Branch.\n\nMorris is survived by his wife; children, Karl (Lynne), Loie (Pete), Vern, Dale (Tammy), and Phil (Canela); 21 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.\n\nFuneral services will be Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Little Cottonwood 8th Ward, 6150 So. Glenoaks (855 E.) Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, and Thursday from 11:30-12:30 at the church prior to services. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
