Myron Eugene (Gene) Stam, Jr. Obituary (1937 - 2017)

Myron Eugene (Gene) Stam, Jr. passed away peacefully at home with loved ones on July 12, 2017 in South Jordan, UT. Gene was born on April 18, 1937 in Salt Lake City to Myron and Flora Stam. He married his high school sweetheart, Royanne George, on October 8, 1955. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa Arizona Temple on January 10, 1986. They enjoyed almost 54 years together until Royanne died in 2009. Gene was very blessed to find love again. He married Phyllis Bradfield on March 5, 2016. Gene worked for Bechtel Power Corporation for 25 years. He was also a 60 year member of UA Pipefitters Local 57. Gene is survived by his wife Phyllis; his three sons Wade Stam, Clint Stam (Tami), and Joe Stam (Sylvia); his four grandchildren Zachary Stam (Chasma), Jason Stam, Joshua Stam, and Jennifer Rigby (Joel); his 5 great-grandchildren Zoe, Harley, Ryker, Brooklyn, and Dixie; and his sisters Patricia Bradshaw (Larry), Dianne Tucker, and Marsha Ford (Mark). A viewing will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 6 – 8pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S), South Jordan, Utah. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the South Jordan River Ridge 7th Ward Chapel located at 10200 South 1300 West.
