“Together Forever”\r\n\r\nNancy was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 1, 1929, to Andrew W. Anderson and Minnie W. Haggblom. She passed away peacefully on December 23, 2018. \r\n\r\nNancy married her beloved sweetheart, Robert E. Derrick, on November 21, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on April 13, 1973. \r\n\r\nShe worked for Granite School District Community Education for many years, where she retired as Payroll Secretary. She also served in various church callings, including the Primary Presidency for nine years. Nancy exemplified hard work, dedication, and meaningful service in everything she did, and set a shining example for all who knew her. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by her children; Marty (Kaye) Derrick, Ann (Larry) Morton, J (Cecelia) Derrick, Barbara (John) Showell, and Carol (Don) Neve. She has 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband “Bob” of 70 years; her parents; four sisters and four brothers; and one great-granddaughter, Peyton.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the Millstream Ward located at 3400 South 1100 East at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018, at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary located at 4760 S. State Street in Murray, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Prior to her funeral service, a viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Millstream Ward.
