Noah Sterling Christian was born to John and Katherine Christian on July 18, 1994. He returned home to his loving Heavenly Father, at the age of 24, on Friday, February 8, 2019. While Noah was on this earth, he struggled with many afflictions, schizoaffective disorder and drug addiction. We find peace knowing he is no longer fighting these battles.\r\n\r\nNoah was originally from Nazareth, Pennsylvania. He moved to Salt Lake City, Utah when he was 17. He graduated from Cottonwood High school. Noah was the brother to four siblings--three older brothers and an older sister. He was the baby of the family and loved\r\nunconditionally from the moment he entered their family. He had the most piercing blue eyes and golden blonde hair. Noah had a kind nature. Animals would flock to him. He had a love of nature, especially plants. He could grow a mean garden and always from seed. He had pots of plants growing all around the house. He could grow anything, anywhere. He liked all the stages of growth and would cater to them through each stage. His love of nature was expressed through his artwork. He was always trying to do better and learn new things. He would scour thrift stores looking for books to educate himself about the body, art and our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His testimony was unwavering. He was so smart and loved to share his knowledge with anyone who would listen. He had a shy smile; and when he would share it, you couldn’t help but smile back.\r\n\r\nNoah had many accomplishments. He was an Eagle Scout, a high school graduate and completed three months of sobriety while living at the 7th Street Treatment Center. We are so proud of Noah and the dedication he showed while trying to work through his problems. We can’t imagine the strength it would take to fight his demons. We would like to thank ‘Nonos” 7th Street family for loving him while he worked through his program and to his friend, Levi, who showed him unwavering love in the last hours of his life. We will forever be thankful to this beautiful man for the selflessness he showed towards Noah. What a gift Noah left us. Though he may not be here on this earth, we are grateful for the lessons we learned and are still learning from our sweet Noahy. Until we meet again...\r\n\r\nNoah is survived by his parents, John and Katherine; siblings: Jacob, Leah (Drew), Jared\r\n(Sarah), Samuel (Katelyn); 5 nieces and 6 nephews. He was preceded in death by all of his\r\ngrandparents.\r\n\r\nA celebration of Noah’s life will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Creekside Ward, 1495 East 4705 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84117, with a viewing prior from 10:00-11:45 a.m. We encourage all who will attend to wear bright colors. We know this would bring joy to Noah. In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made to the 7th Street Treatment Center.
