“Fishing Together Again”\n\nOur beloved Mom, Grandma and Friend passed from this life on October 10, 2006 on to her next grand adventure. Our hearts are full of sorrow, but we know her reunion in heaven is joyous.\n\nMom was born on April 23, 1918 in Magna, Utah. She was the daughter of Henrietta Lemon and George Allmark. She grew up in Murray and Salt Lake City and attended South High School. \n\nMom met her future husband, Herbert Gehrke, at a dance at Saltair. They married on September 26, 1940. To them were born a daughter and two sons. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on September 26, 1997.\n\nMom worked all her life. She worked at Wasatch Springs, Skaggs and Grand Central. After retiring, she and her husband managed apartments in South Salt Lake for over 25 years. \n\nMom and Dad loved fishing and spent many years at Camp Strawberry. After Dad passed away on October 1, 1999, Mom moved in with her daughter DiAnn and enjoyed the years since, traveling and camping with her family. Mom’s days were spent with her friends at the West Jordan Senior Center. We all appreciate the many friends she met there and the good times she shared with them.\n\nMom is survived by her daughter, DiAnn Andreason; her son, Paul (Doreen) Gehrke; her brother, Waldo Allmark; 4 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Also a special adopted granddaughter and her 4 children.\n\nMeeting Mom in heaven were her husband; her parents; her sister, Norma Boulton; her son, Dennis (Bernadette) Gehrke; two grandsons and her son-in law, Darrald (Andy) Andreason.\n\nWe want to thank the wonderful staff at the Highland Care Center for the loving care shown to Mom these last few weeks. \n\nGraveside services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 12 Noon at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 So.
