Nona May Fewkes Marshall Rose\n\n1930 - 2022\n\nNona May Fewkes Marshall Rose, 91, our sweet mother and grandmother passed away on May 4, 2022 in West Jordan, Utah just three days shy of her 92nd birthday. She was born May 7, 1930 in Rupert, Idaho to Walter and Selena Jane Bowen Fewkes as the youngest of their nine children. Nona spent her youth in Rupert and as a teenager moved to Salt Lake City, Utah with her family, where she graduated from West High School. She married the love of her life James Fred Marshall on July 2, 1947 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on May 26, 1958. After 47 years of marriage, Fred preceded her in death on November 24, 1994, and later married Merritt Rose (deceased). \n \nNona was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. Mom loved people and enjoyed working for many years as an office manager for Standard Process Labs. Her greatest accomplishment though, was that of a mom to Kathy, Tom and Susan, grandmother to her beloved 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.\n\nShe was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, siblings, her daughter Susan Bryant and granddaughter Kara Knighton. Nona leaves behind her daughter Kathy Searle (Reed), son Thomas Fred Marshall, her son-in-law Dan Bryant and grandchildren and great grandchildren.\n\nGraveside services will be held Monday, May 16, 2022 at 10:00 am at Valley View Cemetery, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. There will be a viewing on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah.\n\nOur family would like to thank the staff of Beehive Homes of West Jordan and of Intermountain Hospice for the loving care they took of Nona the last three years of her life.
