Wallsburg, Utah
Pamela Rae Williams, known fondly as Pam, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, after an honorable battle with cancer. Born in Murray, Utah, on March 15, 1964, Pam was a hardworking and compassionate soul, whose heart of gold shone brightly on a daily basis, whether lending a helping hand, sharing a warm laugh, or embracing life’s adventures with joy and generosity.
Growing up, Pam spent lots of time with her immediate and extended family creating invaluable memories which she cherished and shared whenever possible. Her parents moved to Utah from Minnesota in the late 1950’s building a family business and historical foundation. Pam worked alongside her parents in the family business Erickson Bros Inc. until they retired in the late 1990’s.
Pam built up quite the skillset over her lifetime. She was a licensed cosmetologist, office manager, account manager, event coordinator and banking professional. She had a successful 20-year career at Zions Bank where her expertise and leadership proved vital during the institutions transition to a new banking framework.
In 2018, after the passing of her father, Pam retired embracing her role in preserving her family’s legacy through the Richard W. Erickson Foundation. Her passion for history, teaching, and heritage was evident when she was interacting with family, friends, event attendees, and tour groups. Working with the foundation brought her immense joy, whether it was creating displays, giving private tours, planning events, or sharing stories.
Pam lived her life with a vibrant spirit and a love for exploration. She traveled across the U.S. with her family and friends, ventured to Europe, and discovered a newfound passion for Disney World (reluctantly at first, but soon turning into an annual tradition). Known as “Grandma Pam” to some, she delighted in becoming a grandmother to Brooklyn and Kayden Kocherhans in 2020, an experience she cherished deeply.
Pam is preceded in death by her parents Richard Wallace Erickson and Rita Rae Erickson. She is survived by Brother Todd Erickson, Son Zeth (Carson) Kocherhans, Nephews T-Jay (Auchelle) Erickson, and Troy (Danielle) Erickson, and grandchildren Kayden & Brooklyn Kocherhans.
A guiding light to all who knew her, Pam lived by the motto of embracing life to the fullest. Though her physical presence will be greatly missed, her spirit, compassion, and the beautiful memories she created will remain with us forever.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life. A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, from 10:30–11:30 AM at Jenkins Soffe Funeral Home (1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, UT 84095), followed by a memorial service from 12:00–1:00 PM. A luncheon will take place immediately after, from 1:00–2:30 PM.
