Our dear mother passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020. She was born in Hepner, Oregon on February 8, 1934 to Marvin 0. Brown and Roseanna Hazel McDaid. She was close with her sisters Marvelle and Suzanne. She was married to Thomas Maes and later Harvey Lynn Christensen who preceded her in death. Patricia known as Pat had four children, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren with one on the way. \r\nPat was a lively little lady who loved being around people and her family. She was charming, witty, funny and sharp in the mind to the end of her life. She loved caring for her family. Once her children grew up, she went to work with Meiers Catering in Holladay. The Meiers became her second family. She loved Peay and his family and all the Meiers who treated her like family.\r\nShe loved gardening and growing plants. She enjoyed taking over dead plants and bringing them back to life. She loved growing large Dahlias. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, and receiving packages in the mail. At the end of her life, she enjoyed watching golf and poker on television. She loved giving gifts and giving of her time to help others. \r\nShe was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in her late seventies. Her relationship with Heavenly Father grew strong through the years. We are grateful for all those who supported her in her life and especially Carrie, Teresa, Denza, the Willow Creek 1st ward, the South Jordan 8th ward and Sunrise Assisted living center.\r\nShe is survived by one sister, Suzanne Sawyer, her four children, Lynn (Cheryll) Christensen, Debbie (RC) Olson, Lori (Kyle) Roosendaal, John (Carol) Christensen, seven grandchildren, Aaron Christensen, Jason and Karen Christensen, Sean Garcia, Ryan Roosendaal, Kara McDonald, Chase Roosendaal, Zachary Christensen, Brandon Christensen, eight great grandchildren Cailin and Braden Christensen, Chasten, Audrey, and Aidan Garcia, Kaylee and Ruby McDonald, and Jones Roosendaal.\r\nPat will be buried in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. A private graveside service will be held for the immediate family only.\r\nIn lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
