Patti Cooper

–

Twin Falls, ID

1931 was the year the Lord saw fit to bring Patricia Ann into this world to Freeman (Jack) and Zella Skinner (Hack) in the small town of Pontiac, Illinois. Patti to all her many friends.

The second of 4 children for Jack & Zella. Bill, the oldest with Debbie (Hjortedal) and Larry being younger. After Patti’s birth the family set off for Washington, Illinois where Jack worked for Standard Oil.

In 1947, the Skinner clan moved to Twin Falls, Idaho where other family relatives had settled including members of the Shearer and Hack families. Patti graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1950 and attended Idaho State University. It was at ISU that Patti met her future husband and lifelong friend Robert C (Bob) Cooper. Married 58 years starting on May 31, 1953.

After the birth of their first child, Mary Ann, the couple set off on a series of adventures leaving Twin Falls for Billings and a second child, Susan, then on to Ogden and their third child John. The adventures continued with stops in Denver and Boise. Their last move being back to Twin Falls in 1976. In every move and every city Patti was a member of New Comers where the game of bridge introduced her to many lifelong friends. Bob & Patti owned and operated Engineering Construction Company for 40 years before retirement. At age 58 Patti donated a kidney to her daughter in a gift of life, that continues to this day and was much appreciated by all our family.

Both Patti and Bob loved to learn and see new places. Their golden years saw them all over the globe including: Antarctica, New Zealand, Australia, Russia, China, England and Scotland. Bob’s passing 6 years ago did not calm Patti’s desire to continue being an active part of her family and community including; the Twin Falls Public Library, her book club and all her many friends from a lifetime of being kind, honest and always looking at the positive in humanity.

2018 was the year that saw Patti crossed over this earthly plane to attend life immortal with our Lord as well as her many friends and relatives who made journey ahead of her. She was more than numbers, she was our mom, Grandmother and Friend.
