Click HERE to view Graveside Services for Oniel and Patricia Hansen\r\n\r\nOniel Holman Hansen passed away of COVID related illness on Friday, January 15, 2021. His sweet companion Patricia Louise McKay Hansen also passed away of COVID related illness just hours later on January 16, 2021.\r\n\r\nPatricia Louise McKay, 92, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away in the early hours of January 16, 2021. Pat was born on Ocotber 16, 1928 in Mount Pleasant, Utah to Verl McKay and Bernetta Hansen McKay. She married Oniel H. Hansen on April 23, 1949. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Pat was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in a variety of capacities including Relief Society President. She was known as “The Force” in her family and they adored her. During her working career, Pat was a successful banker and worked as the Chief Purchasing Agent for Prudential Federal Bank. \r\n\r\nTogether, Pat and Oniel served for ten years in the Jordan River Temple. They had a true love story built on blood, sweat, and tears, but also love of family and deep commitment to the Savior Jesus Christ. Pat and Oniel are survived by their children, Paul (Kathy) Hansen, and Tim (June) Hansen, 5 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren, Pat’s sister Diane Sperry and brother Charles McKay. Their passing leaves a void in the hearts and lives of their family and friends who dearly love them. \r\n\r\nThe family would like to extend their love and appreciation to the staff at The Wentworth at Willow Creek for their loving care of both mom and dad over the past three and a half years.\r\nDue to COVID and following CDC guidelines, no public funeral will be held but there will be a joint graveside service at noon at the Fountain Green, Utah Cemetery on Monday, January 25, 2021. All are invited. Masks are required as well as social distancing. There will be a celebration of the lives of Pat and Oniel later in the year.
