Paul Duwane Brown, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle was the patriarch of our family passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022.\n\nBorn November 03, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Robert William Brown and Jean Marie (Jacobson) Brown. Paul married Sharon Treglown in 1965 later divorced and married Judy Jelsma in 1971. \n\nSurvived by his loving wife Judy Brown, his sons Shane (Kayleen), Jason (Hollie), Sean (Jill), sister Pamela (Rocky) Parry, four grandchildren, and five great children. Preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles, five brothers, and one sister.\n\nBegan his working career at the age of 8 selling spudnut doughnuts from Murray to downtown Salt Lake to help support his family. He continued his working career delivering newspapers, working at Uncle Claude’s mink ranch and Italian Village restaurant. During high school, he was a masterful trumpet player where he would melt the hearts of family members at family functions. After graduating from Granite High School in 1965 went to Trade Tech and completed his machinist certification. In 1980 Paul decided to start and successfully operate Glass Unlimited where he retired in 2017 with the opportunity to turn the business over to his son Shane Brown. \n\nPaul loved anything that consisted of the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and camper. He loved traveling the world with his family and friends. He was always the center of attention that attracted all the grandchildren to him where he made each one feel special. \n\nA special thanks to brother in-law Lonnie Jelsma over the last year of his life for all of the dedication and help throughout this tough journey. \n\nFuneral services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, Murray, Utah. Viewings will be Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and on Thursday 10:00 – 10:45 am at the mortuary. Services will be streamed online at jenkins-soffe.com.
