Paul Emerson Osborn grew up in Parker, Colorado, the oldest of six children. He graduated from Southern Colorado State College in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree and taught auto mechanics there in the 70’s. He spent most of his career in the automotive industry working for AMC, Jeep, Renault and American Honda.
He moved to Salt Lake City in the 80’s to work as a service manager at Heritage Honda, a local car dealership. He later worked for Eckman Construction. For the past 13 years, he has been employed at the Utah Transit Authority (UTA). Paul and his wife, Kathy, also ran a successful commercial cleaning business in Utah.
Paul loved to spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed shooting guns, working on cars (better hold the flashlight just right or you would hear about it – ask his daughters!), restoring antiques and going to car shows. He loved spending time with the love of his life, Kathy, engineering intricate craft projects. He will be sorely missed.
Paul is survived by his wife, Kathy Osborn, daughters: Anna (Robert) Charnock, Jennifer (Josh) Allen, Meagan (Chris) Smith, and 6 grandchildren: Mckenzie, Abigail, Brooklyn, Hailey, Blake and Emma.
He is also survived by his siblings: David (Peggy) Osborn, Judy Vernon, Kirk (Chongsuk) Osborn, Sally Jo (Jeff) Burg, Gary (Sherry) Eckman, Ginger (Devin) Riggs.
Preceded in death by Marshall & Sally Osborn (parents), Marsha Ellis, Ruth & Harvey Eckman, Claudia Hammer, JoAnn Dixson and Debbie Lipsey.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 28, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
A gathering for friends and family will be held after the services at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 7511 South 2700 West, West Jordan, Utah.
