Penny (West) Jensen Obituary (1959 - 2013)

"Beloved Mother" After a battle with Cancer, Penny passed away peacefully in her home in Salt Lake City on April 9, 2013. "I have left this Earth for a better place. I was born February 26, 1959 in Sturgis, Kentucky to Joan "Jo" and Harmon R West. I married Ron Jensen April 10, 1982 and became a widow April 20, 1983. I was blessed to have love in my life when God sent me two of the best kids he had. Being their Mom was my greatest joy in life. I was also blessed with many nieces and nephews whom I loved dearly. Survived by Daughter Jenifer Jensen, Son Joey Jensen, Mother, Brother Ray West, Sisters Joyce Johnson, Vicki Carpenter, Angela West-Jeffers and Val West, and Uncle Norm in Ogden. Also in Kentucky, Uncle Rodney West, and Aunt Mona West., and Uncle Jerry Nesbit. Preceded in death by Father, Husband and Brother's Stan and Jeff West. I can't wait to see them again. I will miss my best friend Lori Warburton, my two cats, Baby and Boomer, and my grand-puppy Kairi, who I loved with all my heart." "Remember me with laughter, for that's how I will remember you all. Viewing and services will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S State Street. Viewing on April 14 from 6-8 PM and services April 15 from 1-2:30 PM. Interment following at Holladay Memorial Cemetery, 4900 S Memorial Lane at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at Wells Fargo in Penny Jensen's Memorial Fund to assist with expenses.
