Pete R. Falvo

–

Salt Lake City, UT

We have lost our Brother, Uncle and Friend; Pete R Falvo.
He was a gentle and caring man, who made a profound impact on all of our lives. He passed away peacefully on June 14, 2006 after a brief illness. Pete was born along with his twin brother Mike in Magna, Utah on July 27th, 1929 to Louis and Frances Falvo.

He attended Cyprus High School, was active in various sports and graduated in 1948. He worked in the family’s grocery business for a short period and then attended the LDS Business College. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he honorably served four years during the Korean War. Pete was married to Loretta Gentry in 1956. They were married for 21 years and later divorced, but remained friends. He was later married to Paula Shiner for 10 years prior to their divorce. He was an active member of the Salt Lake Board of Realtors for over 40 years.

Perhaps the most special memories Pete left behind were his optimism and zest for life. He loved the game of golf and avidly became a handicap golfer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Frances Falvo. Pete is survived by his older brother Frank (Mary) and twin brother Mike (Ellen), nephews and nieces Louis (Deby), Tina (Greg), Frank (Annette), Lisa (Chris), Michael (Heidi), Pam (Olaf) and Mark (Lee-Ann), who all loved and admired him.

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 19, 2006, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 E. Creek Road, Sandy, UT 84093 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 20th, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 275 U Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.

Rest in peace, Pete. We love you and will always hold you in our hearts!
