Our beloved father and grandfather, Phuoc Nguyen, passed away on August 8, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah.\r\n\r\nPhuoc was born in Vietnam and came to the United States in 1974. Shortly after arriving in the U.S., he was able to help the rest of his family emigrate to Salt Lake City, where they have since resided. He was a member of the military and fought bravely for the South in the Vietnam War. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his four grandchildren. In his free time he liked to watch WWE and Vietnamese Operas. One of his favorite ways to relax was to be outside in his hammock. He loved to make others smile and laugh.\r\n\r\nOver the past few years, he has battled with multiple health conditions but has always remained joyful and optimistic. Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the staff at Rocky Mountain Care-Hunter Hollow Nursing Home, especially to his CNA Erica who provided him with exceptional care.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife: Hanh Vo. His children: Khoa (Chau) Nguyen and Maryann (Anthony) Ngo. And four grandchildren: Joanna, Alyssa, Jasmine and Andrew. Phuoc was preceded in death by his daughter: Arlyne Kim Duong.\r\n\r\nPhuoc’s funeral service and viewing will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home in South Jordan on August 13, 2021 at 10 AM.
