Mom passed away peacefully at the age of 88. She was born to Herbert Coon and Elva Ethel Breeze. She graduated from Murray High School. Mom married her sweetheart, Harry Erickson; later sealed in the Logan Temple. They built their home together in Murray where they raised 3 children.\n\nMom was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many capacities. She retired from Smith’s Food King as a bookkeeper where she worked for 32 years. She was a loving grandmother to 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Harry; parents; sister, Zelma (Stewart); brother, Clyde; grandson, Randy; and great-grandson, Conner. Survived by children, Lynda (Blair) Packer, Vaughn (Michele) Erickson, and Carolyn (Patrick) Swanagan.\n\nFuneral services will be Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Park LDS Ward, 5600 S. 435 E. A viewing will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, and Saturday at the church prior to services from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.\n\nA special thanks is extended to the staff of Ashford Memory Care and her hospice nurse, Leann Jackson for their loving care of our mom.
