Rachel Ann (Parker) Whitehead passed away peacefully on July 27, 2020 after a courageous 18-month battle with cancer. Rachel was surrounded by her family and friends when she returned to her heavenly father. \r\n\r\nRachel’s earthly mission began in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 7, 1983 as the fourth child of Jeff Parker and Jill Hatch Parker. They nurtured their two sons and two daughters with childhood homes in Salt Lake, West Jordan and Bluffdale Utah. Rachel was the baby of the family, always smiling and happy. As a young girl, Rachel loved going shooting with her dad, playing the piano, dancing, family vacations and babysitting. She idolized her sister Jeni and always felt loved and protected by her big brothers Matt and Marcus. Later in life Rachel enjoyed running, hiking, playing games and spending time with her family and friends. \r\nRachel graduated from West Jordan high school in 2001. Following high school, she met Casey at work, they were married 8 months later March 30, 2002. The births of Trace, Brooklyn, Aspen and Jaxson followed. Rachel absolutely loved being a mother, she was a nurturing, caring and loving mom. The Whiteheads were sealed for time and all eternity on July 12, 2014. \r\n\r\nRachel was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Rachel was a woman of unshakable faith, with a steadfast belief in God and her savior Jesus Christ. During her battle with cancer she drew strength from her faith, blessings, and knowledge that she would be reunited again with friends and family when she completed her earthly mission. Rachel had a smile that would light up a room, she was such an amazing wife, mother, daughter, aunt and friend to all who were lucky enough to have known her. \r\n\r\nRachel leaves behind her husband Casey, sons Trace and Jaxson, daughters Brooklyn and Aspen, parents Jeffery and Jill Parker, sister Jeni (Jason) Palmer, brother Matt (Kristi) Parker, brother Marcus (Ashley) Parker, grandparents Douglas and Viola Parker. \r\nShe is also survived by her mother-in-law Amanda Harper, father-in-law George Whitehead, sister-in-law Stacie (Dustin) Wilson, brother-in-law Adam Whitehead, sister-in-law Anna Whitehead, sister-in-law Rachel (Mark) Martinez. Rachel had endless love for all 20 of her nieces and nephews. She was so proud of and had a special place in her heart for her nephew Bryton Palmer, who is serving an LDS mission and was unable to see Rachel in her final days. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gerald and Carma Hatch. \r\n\r\nRachel was loved by so many friends, family and neighbors but shared an unbreakable bond of friendship with her four closest friends Megan Rowley, Kelli Whitney, Kami Huntsman and Audrey Nielson. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Jordan Valley Cancer center, Promise Hospital and Canyon Hospice. \r\n\r\nFuneral services will be on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Due to COVID-19 funeral services are by invitation only. \r\n\r\n\r\nInterment will follow at Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
