Eagle Mountain, Utah
Rachel Elizabeth (Davidson) Puckett, 54, of Eagle Mountain, Utah, passed away in the evening of May 7, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. We are devastated by the loss of our dear wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, but we’re choosing to remember the joy and vibrancy she brought into our world.
Rachel was born on October 29, 1970, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as the firstborn daughter of Bruce and Julie (Mitchell) Davidson. Rachel graduated from Quincy High School in 1989. While in college, Rachel pledged the Delta Zeta sorority and was surrounded by her newfound “sisters” for the duration of her college years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Northeast Missouri State University (Kirksville, Missouri). Soon after, she was accepted into the prestigious management program at JCPenney and began her retail career in Spokane, Washington.
Thanks to lucky military stationing with the United States Air Force, Spokane also brought her the love of her life, Brian Earl Puckett, whom she married on September 6, 1997. They were the best thing to happen in each other’s life. After four years in Spokane, Rachel and Brian relocated with JCPenney to St. Louis, Missouri. On June 29, 2004, their family was made complete with the arrival of their amazing daughter, Mya Grace! Rachel poured her heart into her work in various retail concepts across in Washington, Missouri, and Utah, making connections and caring for others wherever she went.
Rachel’s legacy lives on through her husband, Brian Puckett; daughter, Mya; parents, Bruce & Julie Davidson; sisters, Emily Harding (Ryan) and Kate Turnbaugh (Ryan), and many more cherished family members.
Rachel was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Melvin & Yvonne Mitchell; paternal grandparents, Homer & Dolores Davidson; maternal great-grandparents, Ben & Helen Mitchell and Red & Martha Capelle; paternal great-grandparents, Chester & Orpha Davidson and Richard & Ethel Adkins; Uncles Larry Davidson & Darin Haustveit; Aunt Cathy Davidson; and cousin Justin Olesen.
A true animal lover, Rachel leaves behind furry friends, Dax & Raven (dogs), and Lily (cat). She had a passion for Halloween, the music of Lady Gaga, and thrilling horror movies/TV shows. She also loved a good casserole. Her happy place was the beach, especially the sunny shores of Southern California.
Remembered as fun-loving, hard-working, and utterly devoted to her family, Rachel’s spirit will continue to shine. To honor her memory, a celebration of life will be planned for a future date, so friends and family from near and far can join in.
