Born Ramona Nowasa Moore to Edgar Lewis Moore and Willie Evelyn Ward on January 6th, 1935 in the town of Donna Texas. Ramona passed away peacefully on\nApril 6th, 2008; she was 73 years old.\n\nShe is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Dee Wilcox; her brother, Dale Moore; and her daughter, Judy Perry. \n\nShe was a dear wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her brother, Drew Moore; son, Edward Eckland; daughter, Roberta Alires; and their father, Arnold Eckland; and daughter-in-law, Maree Eckland. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brooke Bowen, Brandy Bowen and Robert Alires; her step-grandchildren, Vanessa and Jessica Pettey; and six great-grandchildren.\n\nRamona enjoyed her neighborhood and her ‘good long time’ neighbors and was an active member of her Murray City community. She retired from Wells Fargo Bank where she worked in accounting for many years. She then volunteered at the Murray animal shelter, and at the Heritage senior center. She was hardworking and independent and was an inspiration to us all. She enjoyed dancing and took up oil painting later in life and amazed us all with her talent. “Thank you Ramona, for your brave and loving heart, wonderful sense of humor and all the happy holidays.”\n\nA small graveside service for Ramona will be held at Murray City Cemetery, 5600 S. Vine St. on Thursday, April 10th at 2:00 p.m. “family only please”; after which at 3:00 p.m. we welcome close friends, neighbors and family to join us at her residence to share love and memories.
