Eugene Ray Searcy Jr passed very peacefully on September 18, 2022 with his daughter by his side at Whisper Cove Assisted Living Center.\n \nDad was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 19, 1934 to Janet Nicholls Wilson and Eugene Ray Searcy Sr. Dad’s mother passed away when he was 9 years old. He eventually gained another mother, Elsie Hamilton, and then Helen Wilson after Elsie passed.\n \nAfter graduating from Troy High School in Montana, Dad served in the Air Force for 4 years as an airplane mechanic. While in the Air Force he met his soon to be wife Joanne Hill Searcy. They had three children: Linda Pickett (Scott), Robert Searcy and Randy Searcy. Later divorced.\n \nSeveral years later he met his wife Nadine Snow Hales while square dancing. They were married on December 26, 1984, which added six more children to his family. It was a match made in heaven as they spent a lot of years traveling and camping and visiting antique stores across the west. Unfortunately, Dad lost his sweet wife, Nadine, on November 25, 2010.\n \nDad was a man of many hobbies. He had perfected the art of leather crafting, fishing, hunting (both bow and arrow as well as guns) and photography. Dad was an awesome father who included and taught us children in all these hobbies.\n \nAside from family, Dad’s passion in life was the Boy Scouts and Order of the Arrow. He spent countless hours helping young men become the adults they were meant to be.
