Renate Osborne

Renate Brigitte Stabenow Osborne was born to Else Stabenow on September 27th 1949 in Darmstadt, Germany. She passed away surrounded by her loved ones on September 25th 2026.

Renate relentlessly cared for others, had a great sense of humor and found joy in just living life.

She met the love of her life Larry Delbert Osborne in Germany. They would go on to get married on June 5th 1968 and spend the next 58 years side by side. Together they had 2 sons, 8 grandkids, 5 great-grandkids with one more on the way.

She enjoyed the simple things in life like watching her kids play sports, camping, rodeos, horse pulls, watching the horses on grandpa’s farm, bingo, talk shows, gossip magazines (both from Germany and the US), but the thing she cherished most were her grandkids for their different skills, talents and conversations.

In her 76 years she not only moved countries but countless lives.

Survived by her husband Larry, sons Clifton (Melisa), Mark (Tracie), 8 grandkids, 6 great-grandkids.

Proceeded in death by her mother Else.

The family would like to thank Dr. James Shortridge and the staff at the Utah Cancer Specialist for their valiant and loving care.

A Gathering will be held in her honor on Saturday October 3rd from 6-8pm at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway. Please come as you are to celebrate this wonderful woman’s life.
