Richard Charles Eaby

“Rick”Richard passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2012. He was born on August 27, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles and Marjorie Eaby.He was raised in Murray where he gained many life long friends. He attended Salt Lake Community College after graduating from Murray High. He worked at the Hotel Utah and the Marriott. He married his beloved Sarah on October 15, 2009.Richard had an intense love of automobiles and bought a new 1980 Triumph that he adored. He loved music--especially from the 1960’s and 1970’s. He was a good sports fan and enjoyed following the Utah Jazz.Friends remember him as considerate and unselfish. He was interested genuinely in others and in their children. He loved his family and Savior.Rick’s memory was phenomenal for details in events long passed. He was very sentimental and enjoyed sharing these memories with others. He was curious, reflective by nature and kind. Rick endured a battle with Parkinson's disease at an early age and inspired us with his courage and perspective.He is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah; his parents; and sister, Renee. He is survived by his uncle, Robert Eaby; many cousins; and good friends. Many thanks to those who cared for Richard over the years--especially his friends from Deseret Care Center and Midtown Manor.A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Jenkins- Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
