Richard H. Potts beloved, patient, kind husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, man of great integrity who endured to the end passed away on September 18th, 2007 at his home in Murray. Born in Silver City, Utah to Cecil Higginson and Ray L. Potts. Graduated from East High School, University of Utah and post graduate work at University of California Berkeley.\n\nServed a much cherished mission to the Hawaiian Islands for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Married his lifelong sweetheart, Margene Williams, June 27, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. Richard worked as a gifted accountant for most of his life, making his clients feel more like family than friends. Served diligently and faithfully in many callings throughout his life, and was currently a sealer in the Jordan River Temple at the time of his death. Richard was a licensed Amateur Radio operator and served on the Emergency Communications committee for many local response groups. He loved to spend many hours ice-fishing.\n\nSurvived by his wife; children, David, LeeAnn (Joel) McHenry, Doug (Marili), Brian (Becky); 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; his brother, Keith; and sister, Lela Bergstrom. \n\nVisitation for family and friends will be Sunday, September 23rd from 5-7 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 24th at 11:00 a.m. at the Brownstone Chapel, 6410 So. 725 East. Viewing one hour prior to services. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
