On Sunday, December 27, 2020, Robyn Kaye Vernon returned to her father in heaven, surrounded by family and friends, due to complications from Type 2 Diabetes. \r\n\r\nRobyn was born on March 13, 1954 in Murray, Utah, to Betty J. Ercanbrack and Elton Vernon. \r\n\r\nRobyn was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions. She graduated from Murray High School in 1972 and worked for many years at Deseret Pharmaceutical, Taco Time, Gateway Computers, and in many Child Care positions. Robyn was known for her smile, laugh, positive attitude, helping others, and her love of Friends, Family, and Children. Her greatest joy was as being a surrogate grandmother (“Nan Nan”) and mother to many. She was a fan of the Salt Lake Golden Eagles Ice Hockey Team and the San Francisco 49ers and enjoyed family time at Lagoon, Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Cedar Point. She experienced many top level roller coasters and thrill rides, and was not afraid to take on a challenge, her favorites being Millennium Force™ and Raptor℠ at Cedar Point, Cannibal™, Samurai, Turn of the Century, and Centennial Screamer at Lagoon, and Silver Bullet™ at Knott’s Berry Farm.\r\n\r\nShe was married to Douglas Green on June, 26, 1982, they later divorced. Two children were born from that union, which she raised on her own as a single mother. She taught her children the importance of honesty, empathy, and humor.\r\n\r\nRobyn was preceded in death by her Father Elton Vernon, Mother Betty J. Ercanbrack, and Brother in Law, Randy I. Nielson. \r\n\r\nRobyn is survived by her Son Sid V. Green (Mathew D. Pressley-Vernon), Daughter Kayla J. Green (Ben M. Jorgensen), Sister Lori Vernon, Sister Kristine V. Nielson, and her Extended Chosen Family, Daughter Amber R. Coon (David Cox), Grandson, Emerson K. Coon, Son Corey D. Bryant, Son Jordan M. Myers, Daughter Suzanne Anita Brimhall (Sheldon Brimhall), Granddaughter Sidney Brimhall, Granddaughter Rachel Brimhall, Granddaughter Lena Brimhall, Daughter, Jessica Kershaw, Grandson Gary Beau Davis, Granddaughter Rikae Lynn Vore, Kimberly A. Thorne (Michael Thorne), Sister Kathy Guiver, and Best Friends Lorna, Julie Mann, Jody Luthi, Dianna Twede, Donna Hermansen (Ron), Gayle Niel (Jack), Kathy Jorgensen, Carolyn Christiensen, and Colleen Hilton. She will be missed by all who knew her.\r\n\r\nA Memorial Service will be planned for a future date in the late spring or early summer.
