“Rick”

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away May 17 after a lingering illness. The lives brightened by his warmth and humor are countless.

He read stories to his two girls, including “The Chronicles of Narnia,” took walks with them in the evening, and played “Little Black Egg” to them on his guitar to get them to sleep at night.

Rick is survived by his wife, Lisa; daughters Melinda (John) and Amanda (Milt); grandchildren Ali, Erik, Kira, Sadie, Riley, Jadyn; brother Grant (Beth); sister Sharon; and father Don.

Family service will be held at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St., at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20. Memorial gathering for family and friends will be May 27 at Steve and Kate’s home, 3089 So. 900 East from 4-8 p.m.
