Ronald M. Wood, Sr. Obituary (1934 - 2015)

Ronald M. Wood, Sr., age 80, passed away in Woods Cross, Utah. He was born in Boise, Idaho to Alma Mosiah Wood and Wealthy Sophia Hansen. Ron married Norma Fay Wood April 26, 1951 in Union, Utah; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After the death of his beloved wife, Norma, he found a friend and companion in Blanche Brown. Ron was a quiet, unassuming man. He had a real talent in auto body repair and painting. He had a great love for his family. This gentle man will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors: Companion, Blanche Brown; sons and daughters, Ronald Wood Jr. (Sandra), Matthew Wood, Debbie Burgess (Rick), Randy Wood (Gloria), Pam Wilson (Lee), Jeff Wood (Lisa), John Wood, Raven Hansen (Chris), Ben Wood (Stacey); 39 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Yvonne Pizorno; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by wife, Norma Wood; parents; 7 brothers; and 7 sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street.
